Abstract

The National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) is one of the surveys carried out by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) since 1963. This survey is designed to collect population social data that is relatively broad in scope, so that the resulting data can be used by the government to carry out sectoral development planning and across sectors. In addition to seeing the situation, monitoring and evaluating the implementation of development programs, the continuous availability of data is also needed to make corrections to the development programs that are being implemented. Susenas is held annually by BPS. Throughout its implementation, Susenas has undergone improvements, both in terms of coverage, methodology, field organization, and others. It aims to meet the demands of an increasingly diverse community of data users and in the effort to obtain quality data. Since 1992, the collection of core data (core) and special data (modules) has been carried out through Susenas. Core data which includes demographic data, education, health / nutrition, housing, household consumption / expenditure, income and other socioeconomic characteristics are collected annually through the Susenas Core questionnaire, while the module data collection includes data on household consumption / expenditure, socio-cultural and education, and health and housing are collected every three years in turns through the Susenas Module questionnaire. This publication presents statistics that are considered sufficient to represent various fields and socio-economic conditions of the community by taking into account the eligibility requirements for estimation at the Regency / City level indicated by the Relative Standard Error (RSE) values listed in the appendix.
