  • Sumatera Selatan's export value in October 2022 reached US$673.75 million, down 0.35 percent compared to exports in September 2022. Compared to October 2021, the export value increased by 37.22 percent.
  • Non-oil and gas exports in October 2022 reached US$633.91 million, down 3.39 percent compared to September 2022. Compared to October 2021, non-oil and gas exports increased by 30.97 percent.
  • Cumulatively, the export value of Sumatera Selatan from January to October 2022 reached US$6,303.44 million, an increase of 48.47 percent compared to the same period in 2021.
  • The largest share of October 2022 exports was China at US$282.19, Malaysia at US$43.44 million, and the United States at US$42.09 million, with the contribution of the three of them reaching 54.58 percent. Meanwhile, exports to ASEAN and the European Union were 25.21 and 2.06 percent respectively.
  • Cumulatively, Sumatera Selatan's largest export value from January to October 2022 is aimed at China, India and Malaysia, with a value of US$2,046.82 million, US$781.30 million and US$481.29 million respectively.
  • Sumatera Selatan's import value in October 2022 reached US$62.96 million, down 35.90 percent compared to September 2022, and down 20.10 percent compared to September 2021.
  • October 2022 oil and gas imports were valued at US$6.19 million, down 28.08 percent compared to September 2022, and down 56.04 percent compared to October 2021.
  • Non-oil and gas imports in October 2022 were valued at US$56.77 million, down 36.65 percent compared to September 2022, and down 12.28 percent compared to October 2021.
  • The three largest suppliers of imported goods from January to October 2022 are China US$387.59 million (48.15 percent), Singapore US$78.49 (9.75 percent), and Malaysia US$61.32 million (7.62 percent). The value of imports from ASEAN in January-October 2022 was US$257.02 million (31.93 percent) and the European Union US$23.20 million (2.88 percent).
  • Sumatera Selatan's trade balance in October 2022 experienced a surplus of US$610.79 million, originating from the non-oil and gas sector of US$577.14 million, and the oil and gas sector of US$33.65 million.
