The year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate in Sumatera Selatan, April 2024 was 3,12 percent

Abstract

The year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate in Sumatera Selatan, April 2024 was 3.12 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.39. The highest inflation was seen in Muara Enim Regency at 3.70 percent with a CPI of 107.10, while the lowest was seen in Lubuk Linggau City at 2.45 percent with a CPI of 105.19.
Inflation occurred as the prices went up, as indicated by the increase in all expenditure groups indices, namely: Food, Beverages, and Tobacco Group of 7.61 percent; Housing, Water, Electricity, and Household Fuel Group of 1.84 percent; Health Group of 1.19 percent; Transport Group of 0.80 percent; Recreation, Sport, and Culture Group of 1.90 percent; Education Group of 1.62 percent; Food and Beverage Serving Services/Restaurant Group of 1.82 percent; and Personal Care and Other Services Group of 4.15 percent. Meanwhile Clothing and Footwear Group decreased by 1.39 percent; Furnishings, Household Equipment, and Routine Household Maintenance Group’s index decreased by 0.44 percent and Information, Communication, and Financial Services Group’s index decreased by 0.47 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate in March 2024 was 0.43 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 0.61 percent.
