Abstract

Export

  • The value of Sumatera Selatan’s exports in February 2024 reached US$445.47 million, increased 0.93 percent compared to exports in January 2024 and decreased 19.00 percent compared to February 2023.
  • Non-oil and gas exports in February 2024 reached US$397.36 million, decreased 1.10 percent compared to non-oil and gas exports in January 2024. Meanwhile, it decreased 23.62 percent compared to February 2023.
  • Sumatera Selatan’s exports cumulatively during January – February 2024 reached US$886.82 million, decreased 21.45 percent over the same period in 2023.
  • The main country destinations of exports in February 2024 were China at US$152.48 million, India at US$57.52 million, and Malaysia at US$46.58 million.
  • Sumatera Selatan’s exports cumulatively during January– February 2024 reached US$316.17 million for China, US$112.13 million for India and US$85.19 million for Malaysia. These three countries reached 57.90 percent of total export. Meanwhile, the export to ASEAN countries and European Union are 21.69 percent and 3.75 percent.

  • Imports of Sumatera Selatan in February 2024 were worth US$228.53 million, increased by 3.21 percent compared to January 2024, and grew by 400.76 percent compared to February 2023.
  • Imports of oil and gas in February 2024 were US$2.73 million, increased by 56.16 percent compared to January 2024, and increased by 436.49 percent compared to February 2023.
  • The big three largest trading partner countries of non-oil and gas imports in February 2024 were China for US$306.32 million (68.08 percent), Finland for US$62.95 million (13.99 percent), and Thailanf for US$16.02 million (3.56 percent).
  • Sumatera Selatan’s exports cumulatively during January– February 2024 from ASEAN countries and  European Union reached US$47.66 million (10.59 percent) and US$71.53 million (15.90 percent).
  • Sumatera Selatan’s balance of trade in February 2024 experienced a surplus of US$216.93 million, which affected by a surplus of non-oil and gas of US$171.56 million and a surplus of oil and gas of US$45.38 million in oil and gas.
