Abstract

Lubuklinggau Municipality in August 2022 experienced deflation of 0.50 percent, Cumulative Inflation until August 2022 (Calendar Year 2022) of 4.41 percent, so that "year on year" Annual Inflation (August 2022 to August 2021) was 5.65 percent .

The dominant commodities that contributed to deflation in Lubuklinggau Municipality were: red chilies, cooking oil, and shallots.

The Combination of Two Municipalities in South Sumatra Province (Lubuklinggau and Palembang Municipality) August 2022 experienced a deflation of 0.82 percent. Cumulative Inflation until August 2022 (Calendar year 2022) is 4.29 percent, so that the “year on year” annual inflation (August 2022 to August 2021) is 5.44 percent.

Indonesia in August 2022 experienced Deflation of 0.21 percent, Cumulative Inflation until August 2022 (Calendar Year 2022) of 3.63 percent, so that the "year on year" Annual Inflation (August 2022 to August 2021) was 4.69 percent.

Based on price monitoring during August 2022 in 90 municipalities, the CPI shows that 79 cities experienced deflation, while 11 cities experienced inflation. The highest deflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan at 1.65 percent, the lowest was in Depok and Kediri at 0.01 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Ambon at 0.82 percent, the lowest in Bekasi at 0.12 percent.
