The export value of South Sumatra in December 2018 has increased by 12.30 percent compared to November 2018. Likewise, when compared with the same period in 2017 (January-December 2017) the export of South Sumatra Province increased by 9.06 percent.

· Export value of South Sumatra Province in December 2018 amounting to US $ 303.48 million consisting of oil and gas exports amounting to US $ 34.80 million and US $ 268.69 million representing the export of non-oil and gas commodities.

· China, Malaysia and India are the main export destinations for South Sumatra in the January-December 2018 period, reaching US $ 1,388.71 million, US $ 554.05 million and US $ 361.68 million respectively, with the role of the three reaching 52 , 61 percent of total exports for the period January - December 2018.

· The import value of South Sumatra in December 2018 is US $ 40.44 million or an increase of 24.53 percent compared to November 2018 ..

· Imports of South Sumatra Province in December 2018 amounted to US $ 40.44 million consisting of oil and gas imports of US $ 3.40 million and non-oil and gas revenues of US $ 37.03 million.

The country of origin of imports is the largest period January - December 2018, namely China with an import value of US $ 194.40 million, followed by Italy with import values of US $ 140.37 million and the United States with import values reaching US $ 71.30 million 2017
