Palembang city during the month of March 2017 Amounting experiencing deflation (-0.10 percent)

          While the rate of inflation (cumulative) until March 2017 amounted to (0.52 percent). Inflation "year on year" (March 2017 to March 2016) amounted to (3.77 percent). By expenditure group, indicating that the two (2) groups experienced a decrease in the price index, namely the foodstuff by (-0.47 percent); and transportation, communication and financial services by (-0.27 percent). While the five (5) groups increased expenditure price index, namely food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by (0.26 percent); clothing group by (0.18 percent); health group by (0.09 percent); education, recreation and sports amounted to (0.04 percent); and housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by (0.02 percent).

          Commodity prices decline deflation accounted for the largest share in Palembang, among others: rice, red pepper, pulse rate of mobile phones, eggs, and tomatoes. While commodity price increases, among others: onion, electricity tariff, dencis fish, shrimp wet, Sepat siam and chicken meat.

 

Lubuk Linggau during the month of March 2017 Amounting experiencing deflation (-0.07 percent)

Inflation calendar year (cumulative) until March 2017 amounted to (1.07 percent). Inflation "year on year" (March 2017 to March 2016) was (3.18 percent). Commodity prices decline led to deflation in the town of Lubuk Linggau in March 2017, among others, red chili, pulse rate phone, garlic, and cayenne pepper. While commodity price increases include chicken, anchovies, potatoes, onions and electricity tariffs.

          The magnitude of this figure is obtained by calculating inflation in Palembang and Lubuk Linggau in March 2017. Inflation in the Calendar (cumulative until the premises in March 2017) amounted to (0.58 percent). Furthermore Inflation "year on year" (March 2017 to March 2016) was 3.71 percent.

 

          Based on the monitoring of prices during the month of March 2017 at 82 State CPI in Indonesia, showed that 49 Cities CPI deflation, while in 33 the City of CPI inflation. The highest inflation was in Merauke by (1.24 percent), the lowest in the City and State Tembilahan Bajarmasin by (0.01 percent). While the highest deflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan (-1.49 percent), the lowest in the city of Padang and Purwokerto (-0.01 percent).
