Abstract

The city of Lubuklinggau in March 2017 suffered a deflation of 0.07 percent. The calendar year inflation rate (cumulative until March 2017) is 1.07 percent and the inflation rate "year on year" (March 2017 to March 2016) is 3.18 percent.

The deflation in Lubuk Linggau city in March 2017 occurred due to the decrease of price index in 3 (three) expenditure groups namely, foodstuff category (-0.39 percent); transportation, communication & financial services group (-0.28 percent); and clothing group (-0.13 percent). While 4 (four) expenditure groups experienced an increase in price index, ie housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel (0.23 percent); finished food group (0.10 percent); education, recreation and sports (0.09 percent); and the health group (0.05 percent).
