Concentrated Technical Concentration of Production Statistics

The decades-old polemic of food data has been debated by Kecuk Suhariyanto, Head of BPS when opening the Concentrated Technical Consolidation (KonTekS) within the scope of the Deputy for Production Statistics. The celebration themed "Love of Work, Perfect Results, Quality Statistics of Quality Production" was held at Salak Tower Hotel Bogor, February 28 until March 2, 2017. Moreover food security program became one of the main priorities. There has been research on how to improve the data of food crop production. All institutions involved in food data calculations work together to improve data. BPS can not be alone, but involves Kementan, BIG, BPPT, BPN, and Lapan. The data to be improved are the wet land area, harvested area using the Sample Area (KSA) and Landsat Framework, as well as the measurement of grain productivity and conversion.

KonTekS participants are all Head of Production Statistics and Head of Agriculture Statistics Section BPS throughout Indonesia. After the opening, participants KonTekS (divided into four groups) immediately jumped into the field watching the selected segment with nine observation points that must be reported the actual conditions when visited. In that observation they directly practice KSA applications.
