The Government of Indonesia is intensively launching programs related to binding production capacity of agricultural commodities in an effort to support one of the Nawacita namely the realization of food self-sufficiency in Indonesia. In relation to this matter, the availability of timely and accurate agricultural data is the foundation to be able to realize the right agricultural policy objective hence improvement of methodology in agricultural data collection must be done.
Agricultural data collection applies new method, that is by method of Sample Sampling Area (KSA). In order to prepare qualified human resources for data collection of food crops with KSA method in 2018, it is necessary to conduct training for the candidate of National Instructor (Innas). Innas candidate learns to master the whole concept, definition, and mechanism of data collection of Food Crop Statistics with KSA Method.
Innas KSA Training held at Hotel Amarosa Bandung (8-9 November 2017) was opened by Hermanto, Director of Food Crops, Horticulture, and Plantation Statistics. In his speech, Hermanto advised, this activity is a very important activity, to provide information very quickly, precisely and the present. "I want to give an idea to my friends of national instructors who will later provide material to Inda, as well as to direct officers. Be a smart National Instructor and for that must have innovation and motivation to anyone who becomes Inda or officer ", explains Hermanto.
The participants were 38 participants from 33 provincial BPS and 9 central BPS participants. Hopefully, through this training, Innas candidates can be knowledgeable about KSA methods, and produce more up date agricultural data.
